San Diego Chargers
The San Diego Chargers，an American football team, are located in San Diego, California. They play the WD(Western Division) of the AFC(American Football Conference) in the NFL .
In 1960,being a charter member of the AFL,the club started play.In 1961 before moving to San Diego the club spent its first season in Los Angeles, California. The team competes in home games at QS( Qualcomm Stadium).
In 1963, the Chargers ,as part of the AFL-NFL Merger, won 1 AFL title and achieved the AFL finals five times and the AFL Championship four times before participating in the NFL . In the thirty-four years since then, they have made ten trips to the finals and four shows in the AFC Championship game.
They played against the San Francisco 49ers in SB(Super Bowl) XXIX ,however, at the end of the 1994 season lost forty-nine to twenty-eight. The team has 6 players and 1 coach enshrined in the PFHF(Pro Football Hall of Fame) in Canton, Ohio: wide receiver Lance Alworth , defensive end Fred Dean,quarterback Dan Fouts, head coach/general manager Sid Gillman, wide receiver Charlie Joiner,offensive lineman Ron Mix and tight end Kellen Winslow.
